Child Evangelism Fellowship is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is not associated with any particular church. We are a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living. For the past 85 years, across the United States of America and throughout the world, CEF has been reaching children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, discipling them in God’s Word and connecting them with a local church for further growth and fellowship.
CEF has many different ministries, but the primary ones are Good News Club and 5-Day Club, where well trained, screened, and equipped teachers and volunteers meet with children in a safe environment right where they're at. Good News Clubs primarily meet in public elementary schools, and 5-Day Clubs can also be held in apartment complexes, community centers, churches, homes and even parks. Each club includes a clear presentation of the Gospel on a child’s level and children are given an opportunity to believe in Jesus as their Savior. Upbeat Gospel and growth songs and fun review games complement the children’s learning during the 90-minute club time. Attendance in Good News Club is strictly with parents’ permission only.
Along with these clubs, CEF also has fair, camping, open-air, and internet ministries for children. Last year, through these combined ministries globally, over 16.4 million children worldwide heard the Good News. CEF Coachella also trains and equips teachers and volunteers to effectively teach children about the good news of Jesus Christ and share the Gospel in a way that even a child can understand. Our training is based on spiritual and educational principles that provide methods and procedures to lead children to Christ. We equip believers with basic skills for organizing and conducting productive children’s Bible classes, as well as beginning and sustaining a children's ministry where they live.
CEF Coachella facilitates Good News Clubs in many local public elementary schools as an after-school program on their campuses. We've reached close to 500 children weekly with the Gospel message, and had over 300 first-time salvation decisions. Most of our Good News Club attendees are NOT church-goers, but are encouraged to connect with a local church. CEF Coachella wants to return to schools this coming school year. Parents, if your child/children go to public elementary schools, inform us of your interest and the school your child attends. We will then take your petitions to the school principals to help encourage the opening of Good News Clubs in your child's respective schools.
We believe strongly in the need to reach children with the Gospel, disciple them, contribute to building their character and strengthening their moral and spiritual growth. If you believe in our mission, you too can join our ranks of volunteers. We train teachers and volunteers to effectively share the Gospel, bring salvation to children, and foster growth in the lives of young ones. CEF Coachella would also love to come to your church to offer a presentation of our ministry. We can also train your team of volunteers to run Good News Clubs and direct the children and their families towards your church for growth, connection and participation. That’s how this church and CEF can partner as co-laborers in God’s harvest!
The Lord may also use you to partner with us financially, with your time, and/ or as a prayer partner in our "Fueled by Prayer" ministry, (where each time you call in to a designated prayer hotline, another generous donor will contribute to our local chapter financially). If you would like to find our more information on how you can get involved, please contact us.
