Lida has been involved with Child Evangelism Fellowship since 2017 when she took the TCE1 training course. Her first rewards were the salvation of her two daughters Allison and Hannah who were then 7 and 5 as a fruit of her learning the tools in sharing the Gospel. Lida has been happily married to Jason Stevens since 2007. Lida served as a local committee member / treasurer for five years making use of her accounting skills while working as a preschool teacher at the private Christian school where her children attend. Lida took over the local director position in the summer of 2023 from her great friend and mentor Ales Scafuro who moved to Texas. Lida’s goal is to work alongside the stakeholders of the ministry – committee members, churches, volunteers, parents, donors and supporters to reach the children of the Coachella Valley and Morongo Basin with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Lord willing, the spiritual revival in this valley will be attained through our children. “We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done.” Psalm 78:4

Nicole and her husband Hector have been blessed with 5 children. By God's grace she is privileged to stay home to raise and homeschool her three youngest children. Nicole began volunteering with CEF in 2018. She started serving in Good News Club, and her desire to serve God and the little ones continued to grow. She went on to complete "Teaching Children Effectively Level 1 & 2." This allowed her to grow as a teacher of the Word of God. Nicole attended Children's Ministry Institute in 2022, where she learned the importance of MULTIPLYING teachers so MORE children can be reached with the Good News of Christ. The training also equipped her to teach adults how to conduct an effective Good News Club. In 2023 Nicole was given the opportunity to become the Ministry Coordinator for her local chapter. In this new role she continues to train others, evangelize children, and help grow the ministry in her community. Going forward, Nicole desires to "finish the work assigned by the Lord Jesus-the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God" (Acts 20:24).
Monica and her husband David have been married since 2000 and have 4 wonderful children and 6 beautiful grandchildren. Monica first started volunteering for Good New Club at Sunny Sands Elementary school in 2022. CEF has trained her, provided materials to equip her, and has supported her growing in the faith. She has been involved with Wordless book training, 5-Day Club, and evangelizing to children at the Date Festival, all while working as a Christian preschool teacher. Monica has always been passionate about teaching children about the Lord and feels a strong calling to serve at the CEF ministry. She believes CEF is God’s important kingdom work and feels honored and privileged to be a part of this team. She is now joining as a part time staff member for this upcoming season.
Chuck has been serving on the local CEF board since late 2019, ever since one of the youth pastors from his church invited him to be part of the organization. A husband and father to a blended family of six children, Chuck loves the Lord and serving his community. He's an evangelist at heart with a passion for apologetics, teaching, and reaching the lost with the amazing Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Chuck works full-time in the healthcare industry, and since completing "Teaching Children Effectively Level 1", he's enjoyed using his gifts to help teach at various 5 Day Clubs, Wordless Book trainings, and the occasional Sunday school class. It is truly a blessing to be used by God to teach children, serve others, and give back to the body of Christ. "Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others, as good stewards of the varied grace of God" (1 Peter 4:10).
Lu has been part of CEF ministry for approximately five years. She first came to be part of CEF after being invited to participate in a Good News club. There were 40 kids there at the time and her initial response was "I'm 70 years old, I can't keep up!" However, the next Sunday at her church, a guest speaker was talking about if God calls you, He will give you the strength that you need, even if your 70 years old! That really spoke to her and now she is serving God in CEF. Lu was previously chairman of the committee for three years, and she has been involved with teaching kids since the age of 14. She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, and even occasionally worked with the teenagers. She feels it is a great privilege and blessing, as well as her ministry, to work with CEF.
Karl has been a part of the CEF Ministry since 2022. He is currently serving as the committee secretary. He became involved with CEF after being invited by one of the members, Lu Girardin. He recently completed "Teaching Children Effectively Level 1", and looks forward to using the tools and skills he's gained to help with the ministry's teaching endeavors to proclaim the wonderful news of Jesus Christ. "Its been a great blessing to be able to participate with the Good News Clubs... and it is a special blessing and opportunity to be a part of the CEF Ministry" - Karl Osborne.
"God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them" (Hebrews 6:10).
Bob has been serving on the CEF board since 2018, my discipler told me to find out where they were teaching the gospel in the public schools. I showed up at a committee meeting and became a working member. God has called Bob to be a servant in many ways, at CEF, at Grace Chapel Indio as a cleaning crew member, a herald of God's word daily to brothers and sisters in Chirist, as well as current Treasurer for the CEF chapter. Bob is self-employed as a legal document specialist, and he is anxious to see how God will continue to use him as He is growing CEF in the Coachella Valley. I lift up my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from, my help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1). Please help us spread the Good News by supporting your local CEF chapter in whatever way God directs you.
Shannon has a God fearing husband, 5 kids, & 10 grandkids. She has been apart of CEF since 2020 when she was excited to learn about CEF at a local park where they were proclaiming Jesus in a Good News Club under the shade of the trees. Since then she has attended summer youth training with her daughter, completed TCE1 training, became a committee member, helps teach at Super Saturday Gospel trainings, teaches a GNC at her local school, and helps with various other ministry activities. She states, "It is an honor serving our Lord and Savior in the CEF Ministry. I highly recommend anyone seeking a ministry to get involved with CEF. You will be a blessing to the children and in turn you will be blessed by the Lord." As Joshua 24:15 states, “... As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
After attending a retreat in Big bear during Summer of 2022, on the last day of the event Mrs. Felix noticed a sign-up table for Evangelism and decided to put her name down. She states, "I’m so glad Ms. Lida was in that group. She shared about the GNC after-school program that was teaching kids about Jesus. I was so impressed to hear about it and I gave her my phone number. When I came home I talked to my husband and he was also very happy to learn about the program. That same week Ms. Lida called and invited me to see a 5-Day Club where she as teaching. I went and was amazed to see how the kids got involved while they were teaching. I told my husband all about it and he encouraged me to do my first training. Since then I've completed TCE 1. Now I'm a participant volunteer according to my ability. I’m so glad my husband is involved too!" Luke 18:16, "But Jesus called them to him, saying. Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God."
